Cops follow false lead for killers in Evanston

EVANSTON, Wyo – Authorities rushed to a home yesterday (Thursday) in Evanston in southwest Wyoming based on a tip that two escaped Utah inmates were holed up there.
But the men were not there.
The hunt still is on for convicted killers Danny Martin Gallegos and Juan Carlos Diaz-Arevalo.
The killers climbed a fence and escaped the Daggett County jail, 120 miles east of Salt Lake City in eastern Utah.
Daggett County sheriff Rick Ellsworth detailed for the first time today the circumstances of Sunday's escape.

Presidential forum down to three in Casper

Laramie, WY – Presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo of Colorado has dropped out of the Wyoming Republican Party's presidential forum this Saturday, bringing the number of participants to three. The forum in Casper will include former Senator Fred Thompson, Kansas Senator Sam Brownback and California Congressman Duncan Hunter. Thompson will be unable to attend the second forum in Riverton later in the day. Wyoming G-O-P coordinator Tom Sansonetti says getting any candidates to come to Wyoming is better than previous years.
