Cheyenne, WY – Two ironworkers remain hospitalized, one in critical condition, with injuries they suffered in a crane accident at a northeast Wyoming coal mine.

TIC Wyoming Inc. says two of its employees - Andrew Milonis and Frederico Salinas - were being treated Sunday at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.

Hospital nursing supervisor Mike Chambers says Milonis is listed in critical but stable condition, and Salinas is listed in stable condition.

Laramie, WY – One possible solution to Wyoming's worker shortage is to use recently older or recently retired workers who are hoping to change careers. Wyoming is starting to see larger numbers of these types of workers. State Workforce Services Director Joan Evans says that for employers to take advantage of this growing population, they need to make their jobs more flexible. She mentions a recent discussion with an older worker who was considering a job.

Gillette, Wy – Federal investigators say it may be months
before they determine what caused the collapse of a massive crane

Gillette, Wy – A tornado touched down briefly in Gillette
on Monday afternoon but caused little damage.
Campbell County emergency management coordinator Dave King said
the twister came down in the Foothills Subdivision on the west side
of town after 3 p.m.
King said the twister blew down a fence and some siding but that
was about it.
He said several people reported funnel clouds east and west of
town.

Casper, Wy – Tuesday dozens of restaurants across Wyoming will donate a portion of the day's profits to combat hunger in the state. Director of Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, Diane DeLozier, says Wyoming's strong economy can hide the fact that 53-thousand people here live in poverty and pressures on them are growing with rising food and gas prices. She says the proceeds from tomorrow's event will go to stocking about 2-hundred food banks and after-school programs across the state, so she urges people to dine out.

Gillette, Wy – The Wyoming Highway Patrol says troopers
arrested a Montana man they suspect struck and killed a woman walking alongside a highway.
A passer-by found the body of 46-year-old Raylene Fischer, of
Wright, alongside Wyoming Highway 387 in Wright early Saturday
morning. Fischer had left a local bar earlier that night.
Patrol officials said Monday that 44-year-old Raymond Potts, of
Hardin, Mont., is suspected of striking Fischer and leaving the
scene without reporting what happened.

riverton, wy – A program designed to help young people graduate and get jobs will soon be in Wyoming. Officials say that the Wyoming Job Corps office is scheduled to open by 2011 in Riverton. Those involved with the effort have hired an expert in such facilities to put the final touches on Wyoming's operation. A job corps helps those ages 16 to 24 and Sandy Barton with the Fremont County Board of Education says that it will also help Wyoming's workforce.

Wyoming – Much has been said about air pollution in Pinedale this year, but landowners in the Wild Horse Ranch Subdivision southwest of Boulder, are worried about their water, as well. They're protesting a proposal to dispose of wastewater from the drilling fields. Rebecca Huntington reports.

Laramie, WY – Disabled seniors who live in public housing in Laramie had to get to safety during last week's tornado without any help. What happened to them during the tornado sheds light on what federal housing offers to these seniors, and what it does not. Addie Goss reports.

Wyoming – Last summer, the bison herd that winters on the National Elk Refuge in Jackson grew to its biggest size since people started counting. Wildlife experts say there are so many bison and elk in one place, the landscape is suffering. Elsa Partan reports.
