People Should Plan For Personal Disasters

Laramie, Wy – The state department of health is busy setting up a variety of preparedness projects in the event of a pandemic or another health emergency. The manager of that effort, Angela Van Houten says people should prepare personal plans.
Meanwhile, Van Houten says the state is developing plans and procedures to deal with some greater potential problems. They involve being ready for a pandemic flu outbreak and a plan for handling bio terrorism.

Quarter Hoopla in Cheyenne

Laramie, WY – With pomp and circumstance today, the governor's office unveiled the state's shiny new coin. The quarter is embossed with the ubiquitous bucking bronco and the "Equality State" motto.
The U.S. Mint plans to produce 550 million Wyoming quarters before ceasing production in 10 weeks. Wyoming's quarter is the 44th in the 50-state series, with each quarter minted in order of the state's entry to the Union.
