Thomas Argues For Security Funding for Wyoming

Laramie, WY – Senator Craig Thomas told his colleagues today that rural states like Wyoming still need a good share of money to boost security against terrorist attacks. As the Senate picked up the issue today, Thomas said that Wyoming's security money has been cut from 20 million to 9 million dollars. "I understand that urban areas, large areas, New York and so on have more concern about security, but rural areas do, as well," Thomas said. The Senator said that terrorists could target military bases and the energy industry in Wyoming.
