Legislature Passes Colon Cancer Screening Bill

Cheyenne, WY – A bill that will pay for certain types of cancer screenings has passed the legislature. The funding in the bill was cut, but it still provides money for detection procedures for colon cancer. That bothers Worland Representative Debbie Hammons. She thinks other types of cancer were left out. The bill includes a provision that deals with pain management. Senator Charles Scott says it was to protect doctors who try to do all they can to keep a cancer patient comfortable.
