Cheyenne, WY – The bill to change the state's eminent domain law passed the House today. It seemed like a controversial proposal originally but it made it through the House fairly easily. The final vote was 56 to four. Speaker Pro Tem, Tom Lubnau complimented his colleagues for dealing with the difficult topic and with the two competing interests, agriculture and industry. Lubnau says that both interests distorted and misrepresented the facts and that the House did a good job at sortiing them out. This bill now heads to the Senate.
