Washington, DC – Senate Democrats are scrambling to find enough votes for a bill that aims to help Wyoming residents cope with the tough economy. Two lawmakers who have to be won over are Wyoming Senators John Barrasso and Mike Enzi. Sara Sciammacco reports from Washington.
Cheyenne, Wyo. – The federal government plans to auction off oil and gas rights to nearly 92,000 acres of land in Wyoming in August.
On Monday the U.S. Bureau of Land Management released the list of 83 parcels up for auction. They include land from nine BLM field offices in Wyoming - Buffalo, Casper, Kemmerer, Lander, Newcastle, Pinedale, Rawlins, Rock Springs and Worland.
The sale will be Aug. 3 at the Holiday Inn in Cheyenne.
Laramie, Wyo. – An investigation is underway into what happened before a grizzly bear killed a 70-year-old man near Cody last Thursday. The bear had been tranquilized and fitted with a radio collar earlier in the day.
