Laramie, Wy – Republican students at the University of Wyoming say they may invite conservative columnist and author Ann Coulter to speak on campus after an appearance by Bill Ayers. UW College Republicans President Caitlin Wallace said Monday a donor offered $10,000 to pay for a conservative speaker. Wallace didn't identify the donor. But she says a representative for Coulter is interested in making this happen. The request is for after Labor Day.
Boise, Idaho – An environmental group has filed another legal challenge over the federal government's decision not to give the sage grouse protection under the Endangered Species Act. In March, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service ruled the sage grouse warranted threatened or endangered status, but formal listing under the law was precluded by other agency priorities. Laramie, Wyo. – Albany County residents are voting Tuesday on a one percent sales tax reauthorization. The money would be used for a number of infrastructure improvements. Laramie city manager, Jeannine Jordan, says all told it's a $42 million tax initiative that would take about nine years to pay off.
