Laramie, WY – The bipartisan effort to craft a health care bill seems to have fallen apart. Wyoming's senior U-S Senator Mike Enzi WAS a big part of this effort. Wyoming Public Radio's Renny MacKay reports.
Laramie, Wyo. – Private donations to the University of Wyoming last fiscal year exceeded the university's goal but fell short of the total the year before.
The university announced Tuesday that private giving for fiscal year 2009 reached nearly $36 million. The goal for the year was $35 million. In fiscal year 2008, the university raised a record $43 million in private donations.
Cheyenne, Wyo. – Gov. Dave Freudenthal has asked the federal government to declare parts of Johnson County a drought disaster area.
The Johnson County Commission has asked the governor to seek a disaster declaration for about 20 percent of the county. Freudenthal has written to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on the matter. The governor says that while the drought has ended in most parts of the state, it continued in other parts.
