Laramie, WY – The 20th annual Wild Horse Roundup at the Wyoming honor farm gets underway tomorrow and Saturday.
Inmates at the Honor Farm train the horses and make them available for sale. They do this in conjunction with the Bureau of Land Management who is trying to reduce the numbers of wild horses in Wyoming. Warden Ken Keller is a strong supporter of this program and others that give inmates a way to give back to society.
Laramie, WY – A wolf has been shot illegally in northwest Wyoming. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says it's the first known illegal killing of a wolf in the state since the animal was de-listed in March.
The Department's Eric Keszler says there's a three thousand dollar reward for information that leads to a conviction.
Cheyenne, WY – A specialist in American Indian law has criticized a federal court's ruling in the case of a Wyoming man who shot a bald eagle for use in his tribe's Sun Dance. Sarah Krakoff at the University of Colorado in Boulder says the ruling follows a pattern of decisions that profess respect for American Indian religion while punishing individual tribal members.
