Cheyenne, WY – The State senate is working on a bill that would give landowners rights to the pore space located below their surface land. It is part of a package of bills that will guide how Wyoming with handle Carbon dioxide storage in the future.
The issue is part of cleaner energy development, and CO-2 storage is part of the equation.
Laramie, Wyo. – Conditions at the Jackson Hole Airport were favorable Monday when a United Airlines flight with 121 people on board slid off the runway.
The airport's director of operations Craig Logan says parts of the runway were covered in a thin layer of snow and ice, but he says tests showed that stopping the aircraft shouldn't have been a problem.
Cheyenne, Wyo. – The Senate continues working on legislation that will allow producers and the state to capture and store carbon dioxide.
During debate on the law that addresses so-called pore spaces underneath property, Senator Kit Jennings suggested a delay until more facts could be gathered. But as he has in the past, Senator John Schiffer urged the senate to move forward.
Supporters want the bills to pass so that Wyoming can begin storing CO-2 and find markets that favor environmentally friendly energy development.
