Laramie, WY – The State AFL-CIO is protesting natural gas leasing in Southwestern Wyoming. Specifically the organization doesn't want development to occur in the 200,000 acres of Adobe Town. The AFL-CIO represents several unions in the state and its executive secretary, Kim Floyd says they want the area protected. He says the 18,000 employees he represents value Adobe Town as a place for hunting and camping. Floyd says there was consensus within the AFL-CIO about protesting these leases. He says that includes employees who work for pipeline companies.
