Cody, WY – Noted Wyoming artist Harry Jackson has died at the age of 87. Jackson was born in Chicago, but spent much of his life in Cody. He was known both as an abstract expressionist and a cowboy artist.

In that appearance, he said that his influences included early observations of mobsters, his time in World War two and his life in Wyoming. Jackson could be combative at times. During the P-B-S interview, he was asked how he wanted people to remember him. "I don't give a damn, I really truly don't give a damn. Interviewer-That's what makes you Harry Jackson. Jackson-"That's right".
