Cheyenne, WY – The state Senate gave initial approval to a bill so that Wyoming will not honor same sex marriages from other states today. Wyoming Public Radio's Renny MacKay reports there was little debate on this proposal. Not one senator got up to speak in favor of this bill, but several spoke against it. Senator Cale Case said he admires gay couples that are married or are in long term relationships. After the vote Senator John Hines said he supported the bill. Hines chooses which bills come up for debate and he says part of the reason this one made it, was that the Senate is not very busy right now. Hines says not one of his constituents was against this bill.
