Barrasso discusses plans for Health Care revisions on Fox News

      Wyoming U-S Senator John Barrasso continues to hope that the U-S Supreme Court will toss out the entire Affordable Care Act and force Congress to develop a new health care overhaul.  

If that happened, some popular programs– including the ability for children to stay on their parents’ health insurance plan until the age of 26 – would go away.  During an appearance on FOX News, Barrasso said that would be part of any new legislation.

“That’s something that I and other Republicans have support from the beginning and it should have been in an initial cooperative effort by Republicans and Democrats to actually lower the cost of health care, allow more people to be covered and that’s an important part of what we need to do in the future.”

Barrasso said if the Supreme Court dismissed the A-C-A,  Congress would scrap much of the current law and plans to pay for it.  The Republican said he favors a plan that takes control away from the government and insurance companies and gives it to patients and health care providers.
