Cheyenne, WY – It appears that Wyoming's outgoing Superintendent of Public Instruction is already gone. Trent Blankenship's resignation is scheduled to take effect on Monday, even though his contract to start a job in northern Alaska began July 1st. Since the start of this month, Blankenship's schedule shows he has only worked nine of 18 work days for the state of Wyoming. What's more, the last day his schedule showed that he worked as Wyoming superintendent was July 21st. On that day, Blankenship failed to attend a meeting of the University of Wyoming Trustees. Blankenship has also yet to turn in a resignation letter to Governor Freudenthal.
