Laramie, Wy – A new system to bring federal officials together from several departments should help speed up permitting for natural gas development.
Kathleen Clark, the director of the federal Bureau of Land Management made that claim this week in Wyoming. She was in Buffalo to discuss this new plan.
Buffalo and Rawlins will get extra officers, including some from other agencies. Clark says that will create a sort of one-stop shopping experience for people needing permits.
At the same time, she says, it will also help all of those agencies keep tabs on water and air quality.
