Laramie, WY – The remains of a man found Monday on a ranch in central Natrona County have been identified as those of a rancher who disappeared in 1975. Natrona County Coroner Doctor James Thorpen says that the
remains found earlier this week have been identified as belonging to Louie Strohecker. Thorpen says there were no signs of foul play. Strohecker was 62 years old when he disappeared at the family ranch in 1975. His family never knew what happened to him. Thorpen says there were several personal belongings found with the remains that helped in the identification. He says a watch and
a wallet with all its contents were found. Karla Volpi is Strohecker's granddaughter. She says she hopes to
hold a service for her grandfather on December 11th, the anniversary of his disappearance.
