Cheyenne, Wy – Both sides are claiming victory over a federal court ruling concerning treatment and staffing at the state hospital. Judge Alan Johnson dismissed four of five causes of action in a lawsuit filed by Protection and Advocacy. But despite that ruling, P and A says the meat of their case is intact. Director Jeannie Thobro says they still plan to hold the state accountable.
Thobro says despite the Judges action, the meat of their case against the state remains in tact. But Attorney General Pat Crank thinks the ruling resolves most outstanding issues.
Crank hopes both sides can iron out their differences outside the courtroom.
