Buchanan Upbeat About UW

Laramie, Wy – The new president of the University of Wyoming painted a positive picture in his state of the university speech (Thursday). Doctor Tom Buchanan says the state's wealth is envied nationwide, the relationship with the legislature has never been stronger, and expectations have never been higher. But, he says they will not squander this opportunity. Buchanon says they will use dollars to strenthen the University, especially in the classroom. Buchanan says he wants to attract world class professors to the university. The major focuses he points to are the business school and the plan for an energy institute.
