Budget Negotiations Not Too Smooth on First Day

Cheyenne – Despite hopes of getting a budget compromise on Monday, the House and Senate will try again today to reach an agreement. This follows a compromise proposal by Senate conferees. Senators are proposing getting local governments the $70 Million the House had in the budget and putting $100 Million into the Permanent Mineral Trust Fund. But Wyoming Public Radio's Bob Beck reports that despite the Senate proposal, it remains to be seen if it will be enough for the House.
