Laramie, Wy – An advisor to the National Trust for Historic Preservation says more should be done to preserve some of Wyoming's older schools. Al Wiederspahn is concerned that many older schools are currently being targeted for wrecking balls. During an appearance last night on Wyoming Today Wiederspahn urged the school facilities commission and others to try and save older schools. Wiederspahn says the law the Governs the building and maintaining of schools probably creates an incentive for demolition. He hopes that lawmakers will take a close look at fixing that aspect of the law.
