Laramie, WY – Campbell County continues looking for workers and next year will try something new to try to find summer help. Economic Development Director Ruth Benson says recruiting out of the state of Michigan has been successful and that is something that will continue. But an ongoing problem is finding places for people to live. In the summer months, the area has faced a huge shortage in seasonal workers, but Benson says they also have nowhere to put them. So, there next push is to try and convince those who drive large recreational vehicles to come and work in Gillette. Benson says that recruiting will begin in the spring. In the meantime, she says some housing relief is on the way as building on several new homes will soon be underway.
