Laramie, WY – State officials have approved a long sought after agreement to purchase the St. Mary's school property that is located directly across the street from the capitol. It will give state government a full city block to expand. The state will demolish the current school building and a new St. Mary's school facility will be built in another part of town. Governor Dave Freudenthal says it benefits all the parties involved. The state will trade property worth about one and a half million dollars and will also pay nearly five million for the school property. School officials say there has been a catholic school at the site since the 1800's, but they are excited to be getting a new facility.
