City of Cheyenne Employees Have High End Wireless System

Laramie, Wy – The city of Cheyenne has unveiled a new networking technology for city agency workers and emergency officials. The wireless . broadband network will help police officers for example tap into fingerprint or mugshot files while on the road. Technology maker Alvarion's vice president of marketing Patrick Leary says Cheyenne's wide-ranging use of the technology surpasses most other American cities'.
The system also allows Cheyenne officials to control city traffic lights and process building permits faster online. Cheyenne and Alvarion officials say the technology will help emergency workers respond faster and save workers time.
