Jackson, Wyo. – Crews continue to clean up a landslide blocking a highway in northwestern Wyoming.
They're working around the clock to remove the mud, rocks and trees on U.S. Highway 26/89 in Snake River Canyon this week. Highway officials said Tuesday there's no estimate on when the work will be finished.
The highway connecting Jackson and Alpine has been closed since May 15.
For now, northbound traffic can continue on U.S. Highway 26 into Idaho north of Alpine Junction and then follow Idaho Highway 31 back into Wyoming. Southbound traffic can follow that detour in reverse.
