Denver, CO – Smoking bans seem to the new fad in the west. Less then a week after Montana lawmakers passed a statewide smoking ban, a proposal is moving through the Colorado Legislature to ban smoking in bars, restaurants and most hotel rooms. A Colorado State Senate committee gave its approval to the measure yesterday. Colorado could become the 11th state in the country to pass a statewide smoking ban. Idaho already has one, and of course, the city of Laramie's smoking ordinance took effect last week.
