Cheyenne, WY – The husband of U-S Representative Barbara
Cubin is being treated at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. Cubin's office says Frederick "Fritz" Cubin was admitted
because of complications relating to an ongoing battle with a life-threatening immune disorder. Representative Cubin returned to Casper last Thursday to be at
the side of her husband. Cubin's office says he is listed in serious condition and the congresswoman intends to remain in Casper until his status improves. Her husband's health problems date back to 2003 when he came close to dying. Representative Cubin's voting attendance in
Washington declined while he was in the hospital, which some of her political opponents in Wyoming have brought up in campaigns. However, Cubin has defended her decision to be at her husband's side when he is in the hospital at the risk of missing votes. Cubin was re-elected to a seventh term last November.
