Washington D-C – Wyoming's lone Representative voted to pass a 700 billion dollar federal bailout bill. Wyoming Congresswoman Barbara Cubin remains hopeful that congress will support a bailout bill. Cubin voted to support the measure that failed in the U-S house of Representatives because of the impacts the economy could have on everyday people which includes their retirement plans and their ability to get credit. Cubin says it was not a partisan vote, but a vote supporting the American financial system. Cubin says the key is not to panic or rush, but to pass legislation that protects constituents from market failures. But Cubin says a solution needs to be found. She says Congress cannot continue to do nothing.
