Democrat Enters Race for Lone Congressional Seat

Laramie, Wy – Congresswoman Barbara Cubin has her first challenger in this year's election for her seat. Cubin is a Republican and a six term incumbent. She says she will run again.
Her opponent is Democrat Gary Trauner. He's an entrepreneur from Jackson. He says the fact he lives in Teton County should not be an issue in this race because the president of the state senate lives there and so does Vice President Cheney.
Trauner says his biggest hope is to create an open and honest government that he says does not exist right now. He says his plan for the next ten months is to travel Wyoming meeting as many people as possible.
Trauner is the co-founder of OneWest an Internet Service Provider. He's lived in Wyoming for 16 years.
