Dog and Owner Reunited in Wyoming

Laramie, Wy – An Oregon man battling depression was reunited with his companion dog today (Tuesday) in Wyoming. The reunion ended a three-week search.
Someone found Melody, a 12-year-old border collie mix, huddled under a pickup in Dayton in northern Wyoming, with her collar wedged underneath the tire.
She was more than 700 miles from the gas station in Nebraska where she went missing.
Owner Bliss Green said Melody, though rattled, was OK after the ordeal.
She went missing after someone stole Green's car with her inside on November third.
Green says the companion dog has been his remedy for depression for the last 11 years.
A U-S Department of Veterans Affairs nurse practitioner wrote a prescription in February 2003, allowing the dog to stay with Green
at all times.
