Cheyenne, WY – In his annual state of the state message, Governor Freudenthal identified a number of measures that he supports. On that list was permanently removing the sales tax on food, disallowing open containers in vehicles, improving child care in the state and funding for a new methamphetamine treatment center. But one issue that many saw as an important item may be delayed. Freudenthal says he is still waiting to hear about a proposed compromise on the states wolf management plan. Freudenthal also offered little enthusiasm for a measure attempting to strengthen the states eminent domain laws. He does support a number of funding measures, especially those that can improve the long range prospects of the state.
