Laramie, Wy – The escaped Arizona prisoner captured in northwestern Wyoming has waived his right to fight extradition to Arizona. Tracy Province appeared in a court in Cody on Tuesday morning for a brief hearing. He was dressed in an orange prison jumpsuit, was in handcuffs and leg irons.
Judge Bruce Waters read the warrant with the charges that
included escape, kidnapping, armed robbery and aggravated assault.
Waters told Province he had the right to legal counsel and that
he could fight extradition.
Province told him he waived that right and then signed a waiver
form.Waters said arrangements will be made to transfer him to Arizona
in a reasonable amount of time.
Province was arrested in Meeteetse on Monday.
