Laramie, WY – As is the case nationally, gas prices in Wyoming have been decreasing recently. According to AAA, the average price for regular unleaded in the state is now $2.14 a gallon. That's down from over $2.21 in early May. AAA Mountain West Spokeswoman Denice Harris says both regionally and nationally, gas prices are slowly coming back down. She says it's not as fast as AAA had thought they would, but they are hopeful that the trend can continue through the July 4th weekend. Harris says the OPEC meeting this week will dictate what prices do the rest of the summer. Harris says they hope Wyoming will return to the $2 a gallon level or lower, but it's too soon to tell.
