Governor Floats Tax Break

Sheridan Wy – Governor Freudenthal is proposing to
suspend the sales tax on utilities for as long as two years.
Freudenthal says natural gas rates threaten to soar by as much
as 70 percent over the next several months. He proposed the "tax
holiday" during the Wyoming Fall Hospitality and Tourism Summit in
Sheridan.
Freudenthal says his office is studying how a tax break would
affect utility companies and customers.
