Horse Shot in Sheridan County

Clearmont, WY – Authorities in Sheridan County are investigating the shooting of a horse in a pasture near Clearmont. The badly wounded animal was discovered by the daughter of its owner last weekend. Lorna Pelesky is livid that the animal was left to suffer all night after someone apparently shot it from the highway. Pelesky says her husband had the difficult task of destroying the horse. Sheridan County Sheriff Dave Hofmeier says it's "pretty sad" to think someone is out there shooting defenseless animals. The family is offering a $100 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person or persons responsible.
