Hunkins Discusses Candidacy

Laramie, Wy – Wheatland attorney Ray Hunkins is taking another shot at running for governor. The Republican lost in the primary in 2002. Hunkins says he is entering the race because he wants to ensure there is debate on important public policy. He says he is not running because he has animosity towards Governor Dave Freudenthal, but would steer the state in a different direction in several distinct ways. He says he will clarify those when he begins his campaign after the legislative session. Hunkins says he will give voters a chance to judge him on his words and actions. Governor Freudenthal has not officially said he is running again, but says it is likely.
