Jackson Businesses Had a Good Summer

Laramie, WY – Many businesses in Jackson report they had
a strong summer tourist season. Several merchants in the retail, lodging and restaurant sectors all reported meeting or exceeding their sales goals for the summer. Sandy Peavier is front desk manager at Snow King Resort. She said the resort experienced a good season and was quite busy. Peavier said much of the business was from people passing through to visit national parks in the area and from people attention conventions. Chris Jay is store manager at the Jack Dennis Outdoor Shop. He said the store had a strong year, particularly early in the summer. Jay credited the Forest Service for developing a trail system that brings people from around the country to recreate in the Jackson area. He said that keeps demand for outdoor products high.
