Jackson, WY – A skier was rescued after being caught in
an avalanche south of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Bridger-Teton National Forest Avalanche Center says the avalanche happened yesterday (Sunday). Forest officials say the skier was swept through trees, over a cliff and was almost completely buried Some of the skier's companions found him quickly and dug him out. Forest officials say they don't know how severely injured the skier was. An avalanche killed a 25-year-old skier south of the resort on January 5.
