Laramie Set to Hire New City Manager

Laramie, Wy – The city of Laramie should have a new city manager Thursday. The city council has a meeting scheduled to approve a contract for Mark Collins. He is currently the city manager in Gunnison, Colorado. Laramie mayor Jodi Guerin says Collins is experienced, and has good ideas for economic development.
Laramie has gone about two and a half years without a consistent city manager. The council will vote on the contract for Mark Collins at 12:15 Thursday. If they approve it, Collins will receive 107 thousand dollars a year.
Collins received two master's degrees from the University of Wyoming. Guerin says Collins is the city council's first choice.
