Cheyenne, Wy – Members of the Joint Appropriations Committee are expressing concern about the spending of business ready communities money on a spray park and driving range. House Chairman Phil Nicholas thinks such projects should not be funded with state dollars. Wyoming Business Council C-E-O Tucker Fagen counters saying the law says the Council is supposed to consider reaction projects. While some might think local money should be used for such projects, Fagen says that is not spelled out and he says they will define the parameters better as they get more familiar with the needs around the state. Senator John Schiffer says the Business Council should have more time to sort out the parameters, but he admits such things as a Spray Park do make him nervous.
