Washington D-C – On her first day in office, U-S Representative Cynthia Lummis says she wants the focus of the economic stimulus plan to be on tax cuts, not spending. Lummis was sworn in as one of 54 freshmen House members of the 111th Congress. The Republican says she will look closely at the stimulus plan put forward by the Democratic leadership.
"So my focus will be both on encouraging the direction of tax cuts, tax breaks, or tax holidays and acknowledging that there will be some spending increases that will be associated with it." Lummis only got the keys to her office on Monday, but she says she and her staff are already set up to work.
