National Museum of Wildlife Art - Jackson
The National Museum of Wildlife Art was founded to enrich and inspire international appreciation and knowledge of fine art. With a collection of over 5,000 catalogued works of art, the Museum strives to strengthen humanity's relationship with nature through its collections, exhibitions, research, educational programs and publications. The Museum is located in Jackson Hole on a butte overlooking the 20,000-acre National Elk Refuge and is en route to Grand Teton National and Yellowstone National Parks..."Art in Action", with Artist Simon Gudgeon...Thursday, July 12 through Saturday, July 14 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM...British Sculptor Simon Gudgeon invites visitors of the National Museum of Wildlife Art to try their hand at free terra cotta clay modeling outside on the Museum's brand new Sculpture Trail. Art in Action gives visitors the chance to become involved with the artistic process through hands on interactions with visiting artists. Simon will be on site each afternoon to welcome you into his world of creativity. Also join Simon as he unveils his new sculpture masterpiece, Isis, on Thursday, July 12 at 7:00 PM.
