Cheyenne, WY – The newly commissioned Department of
Wyoming Military Order of the Purple Heart held a ceremony in honor of Wyoming servicemen killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. State and chapter commanders presented memorial plaques in Cheyenne to four families in the area who lost relatives. Junior vice commander Jeff Roy says the group's intent is to make sure that those who have been killed in action to not be
forgotten. The Military Order of the Purple Heart consists of living combat
veterans wounded in action while serving in the armed forces. All members are recipients of the Purple Heart.
