Laramie, Wy – Students across Wyoming are done taking the annual assessment tests. These are required under state and federal law, but this year Wyoming used a new exam. Part of it is done online and it is supposed to give teachers instantaneous information about students' strengths and weaknesses. Doctor Cheryl Schroeder is with the Department of Ed's assessment team. She says this new system worked.
Schroeder says there were no major bugs while students were taking the test. The only problem was while the exam was taking place some other kids couldn't get onto the Internet, but Schroeder says that should be taken care of next year.
