Laramie, WY – The late state Senator Bob Peck will lie
in state tomorrow in the Capitol Rotunda. Viewing will be available throughout the day, and a ceremony in celebration of the Senator's service to the state of Wyoming will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Rotunda. Peck died Tuesday at the age of 82 after having spent most of this year's legislative session hospitalized. He had West Nile encephalitis last summer, but this latest hospitalization was blamed on a blood clot. Peck was a career newspaperman and published a chain of papers, including The Ranger in Riverton. He was appointed to the Wyoming Senate in 1991, and won elected
terms in 1992 and re-elected in 1996, 2000 and 2004 as a Republican. most recently, he chaired the Senate Revenue Committee and was a member of the Senate Education Committee. Peck is survived by three children and three grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in Riverton at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center on the campus of Central Wyoming College.
