Pinedale, WY – More than a dozen health professionals in Pinedale have signed a letter asking for an in-depth study on ozone pollution in their area. The letter was addressed to six government officials and five energy companies that operate near Pinedale.
Michael Kramer is an emergency room doctor who lives part-time in Pinedale. He says he signed the letter because he's worried about children's health, which can be hurt by repeated exposure to high ozone.
Kramer says the previous environmental impact studies have not addressed human health. He says he hopes the Centers for Disease Control will step in to conduct a study. The CDC was not immediately available for comment.
