Laramie, Wy – Questar Gas has asked the state Public Service Commission for a four million dollar reduction in natural gas rates for customers.
If approved, the rate cut would lower the typical homeowner's annual bill for natural gas by 118 dollars, beginning November first.
The company cited lower natural gas prices brought on by adequate inventory of natural gas storage for the winter and restoration of near normal gas production in the Gulf of Mexico.
Earlier this year, Questar Gas had two rate decreases in Wyoming.
The latest request will bring the year's total reductions to eight-point-six million dollars.
Questar Gas serves residents in Uinta, Sweetwater, Lincoln and Carbon counties, including Rock Springs, Green River and Evanston.
