Laramie, Wy – The Wyoming chapter of the Red Cross has received enough money to pay for its disaster relief efforts in Wright. The Red Cross is in Campbell County helping residents deal with the aftermath of the tornado that hit last Friday.
The vice chairman of the board of Red Cross in Wyoming, Michael Von Flatern says most of the needed 104 thousand dollars is already in. Most of it came from the energy industry, including local coal mines, plus the city of Gillette contributed $25,000. Von Flatern says $1900 came from one man who held a garage sale this week to raise money.
Most of the donations will go to help victims of the tornado get back on their feet.
