Denver, Co – Tickets for three World Series games in Denver will go on sale at noon today, online only, a day after the
Colorado Rockies said their computer system was the target of an
"external malicious attack."
Spokesman Jay Alves (alvz) wouldn't elaborate, but said tickets
will go back on sale online at their Web site, and the team has
backup plans should the site be hacked again.
The Rockies had to suspend sales yesterday because of the
Earlier, Alves said the Web site received 8.5 million hits in 90
minutes after tickets went on sale at 10 a.m.
Nearly 18,000 tickets for each of the three games that could be
held in Denver are still available.
